Hoe je de elektrische auto gebruikt

Doe of je thuis bent

Rij veilig. Houd voldoende afstand, rij niet te hard en niet appen onderweg. Tip: gebruik Google Assistant of Siri. Zie 'handigheden'.
Hallo schoonheid! Neem je spullen mee, óók afval.
Hou 'm vol. Is de batterij deels leeg? Hang hem aan de laadpaal (zie hieronder)
Heb je schade? Meld het altijd! (Zie onder “schade”)

Wegrijden met de auto

Check of er een laadpas in de auto ligt.
Kijk in het handschoenenkastje of er een laadpas ligt. Er staat 'Van de Bron' op.
Kijk of de auto nog aangesloten is op een lader.
Zorg dat de auto open is. Haal de kabel los van de auto en uit de laadpaal. Soms moet je eerst de laadpas bij de lezer van de laadpaal houden voordat je de kabel uit de laadpaal kunt halen. Rol de kabel op en leg deze achterin de auto, in de tas.
Start de auto.
Houd de rem ingedrukt en druk op de startknop (en houdt deze een paar seconden ingedrukt).
Zet de 'lane keeping' functie uit
De auto heeft een functie om 'binnen de lijnen te blijven'. Dat is op zich handig, maar je moet er aan wennen. Wij adviseren om deze standaard op uit te zetten en 'm aan te zetten als je het eens wil proberen. Het is een 'losse' knop en zit links onder het stuur, op het dashboard.
Zet de automaat in R(everse) of (D)rive.
Houd het knopje aan de zijkant van de pook ingedrukt en beweeg de pook dan naar (R)everse om de auto in z'n achteruit te zetten. Zet 'm op (D)rive als je vooruit wilt. Laat vervolgens de rem los om in beweging te komen. Druk het 'gaspedaal' in om snelheid te maken. De "B" stand zorgt dat je extra afremt als je het gas los laat, bijvoorbeeld in de (B)ergen.
De actieradius
Op het dashboard zie je de actieradius van de auto. Dat is altijd een benadering. De Peugeot e-208 heeft een actieradius van ongeveer 320km in de zomer en 230 km in de winter. Dat scheelt dus nogal en heeft te maken met de verwarming. Plan je reis dus als je een langere rit maakt en kijk vooraf of je onderweg of op je bestemming kunt laden (zie hieronder).

Het opladen van de auto

Hoe laad ik de auto op?
Elke laadpaal is verschillend, maar over het algemeen werkt het altijd op dezelfde manier. Je stopt de kabel in de auto en in de laadpaal, deze kan er maar op één manier in. Je pakt vervolgens de laadpas uit het handschoenenkastje. Vervolgens houd je de laadpas tegen de kaartlezer op laadpaal, hij zegt meestal 'piep'. Tel tot 10 en als de auto aan het opladen is kleuren de lampjes van je aansluiting blauw. Doe nu de deuren op slot. De laadkabel is nu ook vergrendeld aan de auto. Vergeet niet de laadpas weer terug te leggen!
Hoe koppel ik de lader af?
Afkoppelen doe je door te zorgen dat de auto open is. Daarna kun je de kabel uit de auto en de oplaadpaal halen. Soms is het nodig om nog even de laadpas tegen de lezer van de laadpaal aan te houden. Rol de kabel op en leg deze achterin de auto, in de tas. Vergeet niet de laadpas weer terug te leggen!
Hoe snel kan ik opladen?
De e-208 die je gebruikt is een 1 fase aansluiting - Type 2 (AC). Sommige laadpunten bieden 2 of 3 fase laden, waarmee je extra snel laadt, maar dat heeft voor deze auto geen toegevoegde waarde. Bij een gewone laadpaal op straat laad je met ongeveer 38 km/u en duurt het ongeveer 7,5 uur van helemaal leeg, tot helemaal vol.
Je kunt ook snelladen met deze auto, hierbij wordt er meer vermogen door de laadkabel gestuurd. Je doet dit bijvoorbeeld bij Fastned langs de snelweg. Je kiest daar voor de "CCS" stekker:
Om deze te gebruiken moet je een extra klepje verwijderen bij de auto, onder het contactpunt waar de stekker in moet. Deze auto kan tot 100kW laden, dus als je de keuze hebt, neem dan een 100kW lader of meer (staat erop). Je laadt gemiddeld met 420 km/u bij een lader van 100kWh of meer. Je zit binnen een half uur dus vol.
Laadpalen vinden
Zoek je een laadpaal, dan adviseren we je te kijken op de laadpalenkaart van Van de Bron of de Smoov app te downloaden. Fastned locaties staan hier ook op, maar wij vinden de Fastned website en app erg handig.

Schade, vieze auto?

Kijk voordat je wegrijdt even of er schade aan de auto is. Zie je schade of is de auto vies? Mail even een foto’tje aan help@goabout.com. Heb je zelf schade gemaakt? Kan gebeuren, maar meld het wel direct via een mailtje aan help@goabout.com met foto’s. Vul ook het schadeformulier in (ligt in het dashboardkastje), Je bent verze-kerd, maar alleen als je het meldt en je het schadeformulier invult.

Handigheden

Je telefoon aansluiten
In elke auto hebben we een kabeltje neergelegd waarmee je je telefoon kunt aansluiten. Dat voorkomt dat je bij elke auto steeds je bluetooth moet instellen én je kunt Android Auto of Apple Car Play gebruiken. Hiermee tover je Apple of Google maps op het scherm in de auto, bel je jouw contacten en luister je jouw muziek. Hier vind je informatie over Apple Car play. Voor Android Auto heb je de Android Auto app uit de Play Store nodig.

Veel gevraagd

Waar zit de handrem?
Deze auto heeft een automatische handrem. Deze zit links achter het versnellingspookje en werkt als het knopje van een elektrisch raam. Naar je toe trekken is handrem erop. Eraf gaat vanzelf (!) Gewoon wegrijden dus en hij springt eraf. Hellingproef? Eitje.
De deur gaat niet op slot
De deur springt weer open? Check even of alle deuren en de achterklep goed dicht zitten. De auto wil niet op slot als er een deur niet goed dicht zit.
De laadpaal werkt niet
Je hebt op bovenstaande manier geprobeerd om de auto aan de laadpaal te hangen, maar hij gaat niet laden. Het eerste wat je kunt proberen is om alles weer even helemaal los te halen door (evt.) de auto te ontgrendelen en (evt.) het pasje weer tegen de paal houden om de stekker vrij te geven. Dan stop je de stekker opnieuw eerst in de auto en dan in de paal. Controleer of ze er helemaal in zitten. Houd nu de pas weer tegen de lezer. Soms helpt het om hem er 20-30 sec tegenaan te houden. Sommige palen 'resetten' dan. Als dat nog steeds niet werkt, bel dan het nummer dat ergens op de laadpaal staat. Dit is vrijwel altijd 24/7 bereikbaar. De helpdesk van de laadpaal kan zien wat er mis gaat en vaak op afstand een paal herstarten. In onze ervaring werkt het meestal weer na deze stappen, of je krijgt te horen dat de paal echt stuk is (en dan moet je op zoek naar een andere).
De auto start niet
Wil de auto niet starten? Probeer het volgende:
- Houd de startknop lang ingedrukt, zeker 3 seconden.
- Stap uit de auto en druk in de app sluiten, openen en weer op openen.
- Geeft de auto een melding 'sleutel in niet aanwezig'? Pak dan de sleutel uit het dashboardkastje (links achterin), stap uit de auto en sluit en open de auto even met de sleutel. Hang de sleutel weer terug en probeer nogmaals te starten. Je hebt de sleutel verder niet meer nodig.

How to use the electric car

We have written down some points that make using the electric Peugeot 208 a bit more fun and easier.
To keep everything legible, we have categorized the points.

Make yourself at home

Drive safe. Keep enough distance, don't drive too fast and don't text on the way. Tip: Use Google Assistant or Siri. See 'skills'.
Hello beauty! Take your belongings with you, including waste.
Keep it charged. Is the battery partially empty? Hang it on the charging station (see below)
Do you have damage? Always report it! (See under “damage”)

Driving away by car

Check whether there is a charge card in the car.
Look in the glove box for a charge card. It says 'Van de Bron' on it.
Check if the car is still connected to a charger.
Make sure the car is open. Disconnect the cable from the car and from the charging station. Sometimes you first have to hold the charge card at the reader of the charging station before you can remove the cable from the charging station. Roll up the cable and place it in the back of the car, in the bag.
Start the car.
Hold down the brake and press the start button (and hold it for a few seconds).
Turn off the 'lane keeping' function.
The car has a function to 'stay within the lines'. That in itself is useful, but you have to get used to it. We recommend turning this default off and turning it on if you want to give it a try. It is a 'separate' button and is located to the left under the steering wheel, on the dashboard.
Put the machine in R(everse) or (D)rive.
Press and hold the button on the side of the lever and then move the lever to (R)everse to put the car in reverse. Put it on (D)rive if you want to move forward. Then release the brake to get moving. Press the 'accelerator' to accelerate. The "B" position ensures that you brake extra when you let go of the gas, for example in the (B) ergen.
The range
On the dashboard you can see the range of the car. That's always an approximation. The Peugeot e-208 has a range of approximately 320 km in summer and 230 km in winter. That makes a difference and has to do with the heating. So plan your trip if you're going on a longer ride and check in advance whether you can charge on the way or at your destination (see below).

Charging the car

How do I charge the car?
Every charging station is different, but in general it always works the same way. You put the cable in the car and in the charging station, it can only go in one way. You then take the charge card from the glove box. Then you hold the charge card against the card reader on the charging station, he usually says 'beep'. Count to 10 and when the car is charging, the lights of your connection turn blue. Now lock the doors. The charging cable is now also locked to the car. Don't forget to put the charge card back!
How do I disconnect the charger?
Uncoupling is done by making sure that the car is open. Then you can remove the cable from the car and the charging station. Sometimes it is necessary to hold the charge card against the reader of the charging station. Roll up the cable and place it in the back of the car, in the bag. Don't forget to put the charge card back!
How fast can I charge?
The e-208 you are using is a 1 phase connection - Type 2 (AC). Some charging points offer 2 or 3 phase charging, which allows you to charge extra quickly, but that has no added value for this car. At a regular charging station on the street you charge at about 38 km/h and it takes about 7.5 hours from completely empty to completely full. You can also fast charge with this car, where more power is sent through the charging cable. You do this, for example, at Fastned along the highway. You choose the "CCS" plug there:

To use this, you have to remove an extra cover from the car, under the contact point where the plug has to go. This car can charge up to 100kW, so if you have the choice, get a 100kW charger or more (it says). You charge on average at 420 km/h with a charger of 100 kWh or more. So you are full within half an hour.

If you are looking for a charging station, we advise you to look at the Van de Bron charging station map or to download the Smoov app. Fastned locations are also listed here, but we find the Fastned website and app very useful.

Damage, dirty car?

Before you drive away, check for damage to the car. Do you see damage or is the car dirty? Mail a photo to help@goabout.com. Did you damage yourself? It can happen, but report it immediately via an email to help@goabout.com with photos. Also fill in the claim form (located in the glove compartment). You are insured, but only if you report it and you fill in the claim form.
